Country of residence & Country of citizenship

🤔 What is country of residence?
ℹ️ Please note that "USA" is not an option for this question. For tax purposes, your country of residence is the one you declared before arriving in the US. This varies by local tax laws, which consider factors like days spent, home ownership, housing, family ties, and financial interests. Residency may differ from citizenship, which is based on birthplace and legal status.

🧐 What is country of citizenship?
ℹ️ A "Country of Citizenship" is the nation where you were born and/or legally recognized as a citizen. It grants you rights like voting, working, living there, and legal protection. While often the same as your country of birth, citizenship can vary based on different countries' laws.
