💡 In Sprintax, you are offered two ways to report your 1099-G form:

1️⃣ You can report your 1099-G form on Step 3 Let's talk money, sub-step Income documents.

✔️ The details you need to fill out the 1099-G are:

• Payer's name/Address (The address is on the very up-left corner of your form, Department of Taxation and below);
• box 2 - State or local income tax refunds, credits or offsets - The amount from your 1099-G form;
• box 10 - State - the state you live in;
• box 10b - State identification no. - 0.

2️⃣ You can report your 1099-G on Step 3 Let's talk money, sub-step Additional tax info.

👉 Reporting your 1099-G this way is faster and easier. Go to the 'Additional tax info' section and answer 'Yes' to 'Have you filed a state tax return before?'. Then, when asked "Did you have any overpayment listed on your 2024 state tax return?", enter the state refund amount from box 2 of your 1099-G form.
