💡 To complete Step 6 State taxes, sub-step Living in the US, report your locations from January 1 to December 31. After adding an exit date, a new row appears. If you were outside the US, the new row will show "Outside US."
⚠️NOTE: Please note that Step 6 Living in the US accurately reflects the US visits you reported in Step 1 Residency Status. If you believe the Step 6 information is incorrect, please return to Step 1 and review your US entries.

ℹ️ Please note that your visits to the US are considered as temporary and your visits to your home country are considered as permanent.

❌ You do not need to file a State tax return:
👉 The following message will appear if based on the information provided you do not need to file a state tax return.
❗It's common to have no state tax filing requirement. There's no need to worry about this.
🚨 IMPORTANT: If based on the income/state information provided you may need to file a state tax return, additional questions regarding your visit in the state, or states if multiple, will be asked. Make sure to select the state or states listed to have the state forms generated.
